Nobody Wants This is a Netflix rom-com starring Kristen Bell’s Joanne, a witty, agnostic podcaster, into the arms of Adam Brody’s Noah, an adorable laid-back rabbi. If you’re getting When Harry Met Sally vibes, you’re not alone. Sure, the actors might look a bit like Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal’s descendants, but it’s the whole “two people from totally different worlds” thing that really seals the deal. The show is all about their budding romance, with fun hurdles like impressing parents and dodging exes. The chemistry between the leads is undeniable with little or low-stakes drama. Its breezy, feel-good tone makes it perfect for a cozy, low-stress watch, despite the absence of substantial drama.

Pros to watch Nobody Wants This:
- Feel Good Vibes: The series is light and fun and doesn’t require any sleuthing or raise too many strong emotions. It is mostly scandal free with the usual relationship dilemmas for some plot drama but not too much. Its a fun time.
- Short & Sweet: The series has 10-30 minute episodes. It is a quick watch. Little investment for a boost in serotonin.
- Funny Supporting Characters: Aside from the main romantic love story, the series has a few side characters that offer laughs along the way.
Cons:
- Short Episodes: I couldn’t help feel like this could’ve been a single movie rather than a 10 episode series.
- Longevity: Piggy-backing on the episode length and the series being a bit stretched, while there are some loose ends, it doesn’t seem likely that the story has much more to offer for future seasons.
- Low Stakes: If there are many more seasons in the future, the lack of drama and conflict seems to be an obstacle for development in the long run. In addition, the low-stakes may be a con if you’re looking for a bigger emotional investment in your television series.
